Competitor’s Mid-Con Oil & Gas Customer Turns to AEGIS for Advice During Winter Storm Uri

White Glove Service

Situation

A large Mid-Con oil and gas producer was using a less-experienced AEGIS competitor. This lack of experience showed during Winter Storm Uri in 2021. With significant freeze-offs occurring throughout the basin, the producer wasn’t getting good communication or advice from the physical marketing provider. AEGIS quickly engaged with the producer at no cost given the urgency of the situation.

Solution

AEGIS met with the producer throughout the difficult weather weekend. The multiple meetings focused on opportunities to keep molecules moving and access premium pricing.

Outcome

The producer was able to continue operations, access premium pricing, and avoid costly buy-back charges for force majeure curtailments. And the investment paid off for AEGIS. The producer saw first-hand the difference that experience makes – and engaged AEGIS to take over the physical marketing and producer services.
