The EIA reported a draw of -2,295 MBbls in U.S. crude-oil inventories. In contrast, the market expected a build of +771 MBbls as reported by Bloomberg. Inventories for the U.S. are now at a deficit of 6.80 MMBbls (-1.6%) to last year, and a deficit of 24.40 MMBbls (-5.6%) to the five-year average.
