2026: From Data to Decision-Grade Insight

There is no shortage of data in oil and gas.

And if you sit in Finance and/or Marketing, it comes from everywhere. Physical contracts, revenue statements, hedge transactions, production data, physical trades, product yields and revenues, mineral and royalty statements, counterparty bids/offers/wins, and diligence materials tied to acquisitions and divestitures.

The challenge is not access to data — it’s fragmentation, backward-looking reporting, and difficulty turning data into decisions. To kick off 2025, we declared a focus on Revenue Intelligence and went to work making these vast commercial and operational data sets more usable.

To start, we used AI to take in nearly 600,000 revenue statements across more than 40,000 unique meters. We mapped them to thousands of physical contracts and combined them with world-class physical trade capture capabilities. The result: customers can now see realized natural gas and NGL economics at scale and eliminate the manual work of normalizing and reconciling data across midstream providers and trading partners.

This foundation enabled the launch of Revenue Validation (also known as Contract Compliance). Customers are now performing real-time validation of natural gas and NGL revenue against contract terms, identifying discrepancies as they happen, and gaining confidence and control through AI-driven automation.

We also brought together data across hedging transactions. In 2025, AEGIS Markets surpassed 2,000,000 executed hedging contracts with 38 dealers across all products and tenors and has created a rich data set that benefits both producers and counterparties. Producers now understand counterparty performance, while the launch of Dealer Insights Pro gives dealers objective feedback on trading outcomes across customer segments, products, and tenors.

The result is a more transparent and more efficient hedging marketplace.

Looking ahead, we know the oil and gas markets will remain volatile. Every dollar matters. Capital discipline is non-negotiable. M&A activity demands faster, deeper diligence. And finance and marketing teams are being asked to explain results and act with more precision and speed than ever.

In 2026, we will go deeper into Revenue Intelligence and evolve from assembling and validating data to generating decision-grade insight. Consider things like:

  • Deconstructing weighted average sales prices to reveal hedgeable exposures;
  • Tracking actual NGL production and managing associated revenue risk;
  • Benchmarking contract terms to objective market norms;
  • Highlighting counterparties that bring liquidity where it matters; and
  • much more.

Our roadmap links wells → meters → contracts → indexes → markets → production → counterparties → hedges → netbacks and will present well-level economics through a GIS-driven interface alongside proprietary benchmarks. In short: our customers will spend less time gathering information and more time acting on it — with confidence.

AEGIS was built on the belief that every market participant deserves access to transparent markets and decision-making grounded in real data as opposed to estimates, averages, or guesswork. That belief continues to guide our investments, technology, and culture. And we are energized by the possibilities unlocked when fragmented information is brought together by a team that understands both physical and financial markets.

Thank you for the trust you place in us and for pushing us to think bigger every year. We look forward to working alongside you in 2026 to turn data into insight and insight into better decisions.

Happy New Year!
